Sombrero Dodo Bird

The following is a concept art project with the focus being western creatures as I am a big fan of the western genre and love animals. I started the process by sketching out 60 thumbnails and from there I choose 10 that I thought would be interesting designs and refined the sketches. I then proceeded to create a detail breakdown, paint over, and light values of the top 3 designs with the final result being two different versions of the concept art piece.
